Welcoming Our New Spring Interns

With better weather comes a new opportunity for the youth in our community! At Bamrec, we’ve recently designed an internship for teenagers to experience the welcoming and ambitious environment of an office. Mentored by our skilled staff like Mai and Chafik, Administrative Interns learn about time management, establish marketing skills, and experience the enrichment of entrepreneurship. This Spring, two Administrative Interns will join our pilot program, receiving an up-close look at the operations that help Bamrec reach its greatest potential.

Yazan and Abdelrahman Mohaisen are twin brothers who immigrated to the United States six years ago, and have found their community with Bamrec for the past three years (check out our LinkedIn to view their staff profiles!) From leading Bamrec’s first Winter Camp, to coaching at nearly all of our youth programs, Yazan and Abdelrahman have certainly found their place in our team. Through the internship, they will learn about Bamrec from a different lens, focusing on the internal growth that we foster. “It’s an amazing opportunity to be in such an empowering environment as Bamrec,” shares Yazan. “I really love the fact that it’s not just about working there, you are moving forward, learning new things, gaining new experiences, etc. And to top it off, we get to work with such amazing leaders from the community.” Adding to the excitement, Abdelrahman describes his experience thus far: “We’ve made long-lasting relationships through Bamrec, and we now enjoy the friendship of very amazing individuals from all walks of life.”

As they continue their internship, we wish Abdelrahman and Yazan great success in their endeavors, taking the skills learned from Bamrec and applying them to better our community!
